Pastor Joel is married to Nancy and father to Benjamin and Daniel. He has appreciated his time as a homeschool dad and enjoys learning, having studied at Baptist, Anglican, Lutheran and Reformed schools. He first served a rural pastorate for seven years and has been leading Christ Church since 2003. He is grateful to have been reared in a Christian home and came to faith in Christ at a young age. His greatest hope is to see Christ in all the beauty of His glory, and his greatest earthly blessing is the wife and children God has granted him. His greatest joy is knowing Christ has cleansed him by the sacrifice made on the cross and allows him to serve in the high calling of imitating his King who is also the Suffering Servant. This calling to serve those who belong to Jesus he could not even begin to attempt unless Christ’s Spirit were constantly convicting, forgiving and extending to Him the righteous life of Christ. He is grateful also for the kindness of God’s people whom he serves in the Christ Church family.
